ACM Hardware is a family-owned and operated business. From humble beginnings as an adhesive manufacturer, we’ve transformed into a successful global supply chain specialist.

1994

ACM founded

Kevin Wescombe establishes an adhesives and chemical manufacturing operation in Melbourne.

1998

Expand operations

Begin producing private label products for wholesale plumbing outlets and retailers.

1999

Establish export division

We broaden our horizons, exporting manufactured goods to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

2001

Begin importing & logistics

Our business capabilities expand to include third-party logistics, warehousing and importing.

2008

Sell manufacturing division

Global leader in adhesive technologies Bostik acquires our successful manufacturing operation.

2009

Focus on plumbing wholesale

We start specialising in sourcing, importing and wholesaling plumbing products exclusively to Bunnings.

2010

Expand to multiple categories

Extended into bathroom and kitchen categories for home brands which became market segment leaders.

2013

Launch into New Zealand

We build partnerships with a global network of manufacturers and agents, supplying brands to Bunnings NZ.

2014

Establish NZ warehouse

We establish our NZ warehouse and build an expert local team to manage our end-to-end supply chain solution.

2018

NZ growth

We increase our warehouse operations to accommodate growth into the garden tools category and our expanding product portfolio.

NZ’s source-to-shelf specialist

Our growth continues as we partner with more manufacturers and help them succeed in the NZ hardware market.

15 years as a global sourcing wholesale partner for hardware retail and 10 years in New Zealand as an exclusive supply chain specialist for Bunnings.
